Welding high frequency definition :

This process applies to “polar” plastic materials in the form of simple, semi-rigid or rigid sheet. Thermoplastic materials such as PVC, TPU, EVA are the most usually used. High frequency welding allows to assembled by an electromagnetic field, two or more sheets. The weld zone reproduces the shape of the tool called the electrode.

Choosing welding high frequency method depends on :

  • welding area
  • product sizes
  • product shape
  • components used (tubes, valves …)
  • number of sheet to assemble

Processes can be in line or discontinuous in the form of carousel.

Welding high frequency advantages :

  • High cadences
  • Moderate tooling cost
  • Good mechanical strenght of the weld
  • Complex shape
  • Association of flexible sheet and thermoformed product
  • Tailor made conception

Type of products :

  • Presentation cases
  • Label holder
  • Briefcase
  • Workbook
  • Waterproof containers
  • Camel bag
  • Bracelets
  • Buoy
  • Matress, seat, cushion
  • Changing matress
  • Protective cover

Welding high frequency limits :

It doesn’t allow the combination of plastic sheet such as PE, PP
