On November 18, 2014, the Victoires des autodidactes Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes et Auvergne were held in Lyon.<\/p>\n

At the ceremony, three business leaders who had never attended secondary school were honored for their outstanding achievements. Mr Pierre BRUN, founding president of Groupe Velfor, was awarded the 2014 Industry Prize. <\/p>\n
Specializing in plastics processing since 1974, this Haute Loire-based company got off to a rocky start. Based on the family farm and equipped with a single machine, Mr Pierre BRUN had to \u201cwork harder than the others\u201d. This self-taught man, who only holds a school-leaving certificate, has \u201calways learned as he went along\u201d, criss-crossing the roads in search of the latest trends and opportunities.
\nThis perseverance has enabled the Velfor Group to post sales of 20 million euros and employ 200 people. <\/p>\n
