What do we do?

The Velfor Group offers a wide range of professions requiring multiple skills, with each link in the chain playing an important role in the company’s overall operation.

1) Operational professions

Operator

Main tasks :

  • Follow up production orders with product references
  • Versatility according to workstations and machines (packaging, thermoforming, assembly, etc.)

Setter

Main tasks :

  • Locate, fit and dismantle jigs on used machines
  • Setting up programs
  • Assembly and disassembly of molds on thermoforming machines
  • Fine-tune settings for new product development

Maintenance technician

The Velfor group has an in-house preventive and corrective maintenance department with several maintenance technicians.

They are in charge of ongoing maintenance of the machine park and equipment, anticipating machine renewal, troubleshooting, repairing and renewing worn parts.
This integrated service gives us flexibility, agility and time savings.

Reporting directly to the Group, these support functions represent cross-functional departments that work for all 7 industrial subsidiaries, and have in-depth knowledge of the Group’s scope. Each function has its own steering process and action plans (CSR, R&D, Design, Finance, Purchasing, Management Control, Sales, Marketing & Communication, etc.).

2) Support professions

Commercial

Our sales representative is in charge of presenting and communicating the Group’s entire range of products and know-how. He or she is a specialist and market reference, with a perfect knowledge of products and know-how. Sales people are essentially hands-on, actively listening to customers and their environment, and taking into account future challenges and needs. Their priority is to meet customer specifications, but they are also able to make proposals to meet new environmental challenges and stand out from the crowd.

Buyer

The buyer’s role consists of selecting and negotiating the purchase of goods or services for a company. He/she analyzes internal needs, searches for suppliers and evaluates offers. The aim is to obtain the best value for money, while respecting deadlines and budgets.

Research & development

The job of research and development (R&D) involves designing and testing new products, processes and materials. It also involves improving existing ones, in order to stimulate innovation within a company. All based on feasibility analyses and experiments.

The Velfor Group, based in Saint-Pal-de-Chalencon, specializes in the world of packaging and the manufacture of technical parts in plastic materials. It comprises 8 subsidiaries and employs 280 people.

Today, as part of a long-term replacement, the company is looking for a: Project Manager – Design Office (M/F) for its Packaging subsidiary.

 

The Gender Equality Index was established by the Law on the Freedom to Choose One’s Career Future. It is a tool designed to calculate the pay gap between men and women.
This index allows companies to assess the level of gender equality out of 100 points. It is calculated based on the following criteria:

  • Gap in pay between women and men
  • Gap in individual pay raise rates
  • Number of female employees receiving raises following maternity leave
  • Parity among the 10 highest paid employees
  • Gap in promotion rates

The VELFOR Group has calculated its Gender Equality Index. For 2024, it stands at 92/100:
