Velfor renews its machine park with a new DMF 180 machining center

Committed to a policy of performance and excellence, and in order to meet market demands, the Velfor group has decided to expand its machine park once again by acquiring a new DMF 180 5-axis machining center from DMG MORI for its workshop in Boisset Haut.

This five-axis mobile column machining center can produce all shapes and types of tooling and molds. All materials (aluminum, steel, plastic, etc.) can be machined. What’s more, thanks to its heavy-duty, large-scale table, it is possible to machine longer (initial dimensions up to 1800 mm by 700 mm) and heavier (up to 1500 kg) parts.

Its five-axis motion enables molds and tooling to be produced in 2D, 3D and now 5D. It is equipped with a computerized control and command system for easier, more precise numerical management. It also features an integrated tool magazine for enhanced machine productivity.

This new DMF 180 machining center is renowned for its extremely high precision, thanks to its mineral cast machine bed, thermosymmetrical moving uprights and integrated direct measuring systems.

This new acquisition complements Boisset Haut’s existing fleet of four “three-axis” machines and two traditional manual machining centers.

This investment will enable us to meet all the market’s needs in terms of tool and mold manufacture for plastic processing. With this new facility, the Velfor Group is emphasizing and perpetuating its long-standing policy of technical excellence and technological performance.

The Gender Equality Index was established by the Law on the Freedom to Choose One’s Career Future. It is a tool designed to calculate the pay gap between men and women.
This index allows companies to assess the level of gender equality out of 100 points. It is calculated based on the following criteria:

  • Gap in pay between women and men
  • Gap in individual pay raise rates
  • Number of female employees receiving raises following maternity leave
  • Parity among the 10 highest paid employees
  • Gap in promotion rates

The VELFOR Group has calculated its Gender Equality Index. For 2024, it stands at 92/100:

  • Pay gap indicator: 37 points out of 40
  • Individual pay increase rate gap indicator: 35 out of 35
  • Return from maternity leave indicator: 15 out of 15
  • High pay indicator: 5 out of 10
