The curtain falls on Prod & Pack 2024: three days of discussions, innovations, and meetings for the Velfor group

The 2025 edition of Prod & Pack came to an end this Thursday at Lyon Eurexpo. Over three days, the Velfor Group had the pleasure of meeting clients, partners, and many visitors eager to discover our latest developments. It was a successful edition, rich in insights, discussions, and new perspectives for the months ahead.

Our expertise

Among the most notable new products, visitors were able to discover our paper flowpack, our cardboard range, and several innovations resulting from our work on bio-based materials. Some of these, such as Green Touch, illustrate our desire to offer more virtuous alternatives, while maintaining the performance required for each application.

Our teams also presented our mixed solutions, including the wallet blister pack, which demonstrates our expertise in combining cardboard and plastic. This type of hybrid design is central to our developments, as it offers lighter, more recyclable packaging that meets current consumer expectations.

The end…for this year

Prod & Pack was also a great opportunity to showcase our technical support services. Many visitors came to consult us about material transfers, thickness reduction, and life cycle optimization. Our role is to provide realistic, industrial solutions, and this year once again, interest in these topics continued to grow.

Throughout the trade show, our sales and technical teams answered questions, presented our CSR initiatives, and discussed the packaging challenges of tomorrow. The feedback was very positive, and we would like to warmly thank everyone who visited our booth.

With sustained attendance and high-quality discussions, this edition confirms Velfor’s position as a committed player in the industry, dedicated to providing responsible packaging solutions. We leave feeling motivated, enriched, and eager to turn these discussions into concrete projects.

Our subsidiaries have talent – the EcoVadis medals

Our subsidiaries are committed to sustainable plastics processing and have been recognized by Ecovadis.

The Velfor Group, a recognized player in the field of plastics processing, demonstrates once again its commitment to sustainable development and corporate social responsibility (CSR). In 2025, our subsidiaries – Amandis, Creaplast, VFE and VFI – obtained an Ecovadis medal, a global reference in the evaluation of CSR practices.

Ecovadis: a global benchmark in CSR

Ecovadis is one of the most internationally recognized organizations for assessing companies’ CSR performance. Its criteria cover four main pillars:

  • The environment, including resource management, waste reduction and emissions reduction.

  • Social issues and human rights, with attention paid to working conditions and respect for employees.

  • Ethics, which values transparency and integrity in conducting business.

  • Responsible purchasing, promoting a sustainable supply chain.

Obtaining an Ecovadis medal is a true guarantee for our clients, partners and employees: it attests that our practices comply with the highest international standards.

A future geared towards sustainable innovation

Receiving Ecovadis medals for all our subsidiaries is an important step, but it is not the end goal. The Velfor Group continues its efforts to develop an even more environmentally friendly plastics industry by increasing its investments in the circular economy, eco-design, and innovative technologies.

Bio PET: a biomass-based solution

Bio PET is a plant-based plastic made from renewable non-food resources such as wood residues. This process makes it possible to recover materials from biomass while reducing dependence on fossil fuels.

This material has the advantage of being fully recyclable, while offering performance comparable to that of conventional PET. It integrates perfectly into existing recycling circuits, facilitating responsible end-of-life management.

At Velfor, we encourage the use of Bio PET in our developments, in order to offer innovative and sustainable alternatives in line with current environmental requirements.

PETG: a recycled and recyclable material

PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol) is derived from the advanced recycling of PET bottles, mainly used in food packaging. This process gives a second life to post-consumer plastics, while guaranteeing the high quality of the resulting material.

PETG’s main advantage lies in its dual circularity: it is both recycled and recyclable, incorporating 50% PCR material. Unlike other plastics, it retains its mechanical and aesthetic properties after several processing cycles, making it a sustainable solution for many industrial applications.

At Velfor, we integrate PETG into our manufacturing processes to reduce our environmental impact and promote more responsible use of plastic resources.

The circular economy, a strategic lever for Velfor

At Velfor, we are convinced that industrial performance must go hand in hand with environmental responsibility. That’s why the circular economy is at the heart of our strategy.

This model aims to optimize the use of resources by limiting waste, extending product life and encouraging reuse and recycling. In concrete terms, this means rethinking design, production and waste management.

Our commitments are reflected in :

  • designing sustainable, reusable solutions,
  • reducing our consumption of raw materials,
  • recycling our industrial waste.

The circular economy is a concrete response to today’s ecological challenges, as well as a source of innovation and competitiveness for our Group.

Velfor is firmly committed to this transition towards a more sober, sustainable and responsible model.
