VELFOR at the cutting edge of technology

Against the backdrop of other industrial sectors, the sales of plastics companies continue to develop favorably.

The VELFOR group, a specialist in plastic thermoforming, €21,000 for 220 employees, based in the commune of Saint Pal en Chalencon in the Haute-Loire, is no exception to the rule, as the 2014/2015 financial year shows an increase in sales across all its sites. VELFOR comprises five companies, each specializing in a dedicated transformation process.

After a year rich in investment, with the creation of over 1,000 m² of new storage space and the purchase of a latest-generation ILLIG thermoforming machine, VELFOR is investing in a new machining center.

This machining center is one of the world’s first, and part of a new high-end machine concept. More powerful and sturdier in construction, this high-tech machine will enable the VELFOR Group to meet even more specific tool and mold manufacturing requirements. Capable of handling parts weighing up to 1,500 kg, it features an innovative cooling and guiding system that guarantees machining precision.

Aware of the need to innovate, this approach is part of the drive to modernize existing machinery. The VELFOR group is constantly arming itself to ensure its long-term future.

The Gender Equality Index was established by the Law on the Freedom to Choose One’s Career Future. It is a tool designed to calculate the pay gap between men and women.
This index allows companies to assess the level of gender equality out of 100 points. It is calculated based on the following criteria:

  • Gap in pay between women and men
  • Gap in individual pay raise rates
  • Number of female employees receiving raises following maternity leave
  • Parity among the 10 highest paid employees
  • Gap in promotion rates

The VELFOR Group has calculated its Gender Equality Index. For 2024, it stands at 92/100:

  • Individual pay increase rate gap indicator: 35 out of 35
  • Return from maternity leave indicator: 15 out of 15
  • High pay indicator: 5 out of 10
